The video above was sent to my father-in-law the same day it was recorded, June 12th. That day just so happens to be Mrs. Lessinges’ birthday. Thus the reason our little one chanted the morning of June 12th. I prepped her during the week so should sing the jingle unprovoked, but I didn’t realize she wouldn’t stop singing Happy Birthday a week later. The good news is she did stop twirling after the cameras were off.
The question is do we contact General Mills, the maker of Cheerios, and pitch this video to them? My father-in-law thinks were crazy not to try. I’m a little more shy about things which is why I continue to blog. Blogging equals low profile. Anyways, what do you think? I’m leaning towards not and simply sharing it with all of you good folks. Happy Monday!
Wow, that was good. All the more impressive considering that it wasn’t Honey Nut.
Bob – I can always count on you for a pop culture reference. I’m still referencing your stories about the two girls, eight cups thing. I hope you’re looking after Portland for me.
I think I may have just melted! I agree with you FIL, that’s a commercial for sure and if they use it, it will likely pay for her college education…go for it.
You shy? Ha.
Love the video. And love that Baby Singe is still singing it.
She has superior coordination skills, but she seems advanced in the multi-tasking department.
Chris – I’m just not likely to send something like this to General Mills. I’ve got other stuff to do way before this. I’m glad you like it though, it was pretty funny to watch unfold in front of my eyes.
SM – yeah, I know. I’m not so much shy, but I’m also not one that will be assertive in an attempt to become famous. She’s a darn good singer.
Jaded – exactly, I have no clue where she gets the multi-tasking stuff because I focus intently on one thing at a time. Otherwise I get flustered. I suppose Mrs. Lessinges is much better than I am with varied tasks.
I love it!!
She is so squishable and cute!
Having watched that, I am happier.
So glad you shared
Logo™ – my day is complete since it is to make you (and others) happier. Thanks for playing.
I kept waiting for the box to fall over and Anna to twirl in the fallen Cheerios.
Ohh man. Could this GET ANY CUTER?!
I love that not only does Miss Anna twirl- she stops twirling and then twirls the other direction. That takes major skill. And having spent a large portion of my youth around young kids- I don’t think I’ve ever witnessed a kid so intent on picking up every single thing she drops. She’s like a mini vacuum! Adorable.
That was adorable. What a great birthday present…And yes, she could make millions doing commercials for Cheerios.
Oh my lord, what a cutie!!! I said awwww out loud. Haha she’s so intent on picking everything up and it seems like she can’t sing without twirling. TOO CUTE!!! Haha
Yeah, blogging is, well, putting yourself out there. Whenever I tell non-blogger friends that I blog, they look at me like I just auditioned for the next Flava of Love spinoff.
I think it’s great that you are capturing these moments for little les singes! My grandpa took a lot of film (like boxes and boxes worth!) of my sisters and I when we were kids and it is really neat to hear your own little 2 year old voice.
This is my niece…
This is my niece on Cheerios.
I am glad she doesn’t eat Fruit Loops, Honeycombs or Cocoa Puffs (yet).
Meno – had I let her, the entire box would have been probably poured over one of her dolls heads. She loves pouring cereal wherever possible.
Brandy – seriously, the girl will pickup the smallest items from our floor. It amazes me she can a) see them b) grab them c) keep us smiling. She’s entertaining to say the least.
Churlita – we couldn’t have drawn it up better. It was so cute when she started to break out into song and then dance. I grabbed the camera immediately.
Felisa – so funny what you say about blogging. Non-bloggers will honestly never get it. It’s not like Facebook or Tweeting. A true community develops because of blogging. It’s a remarkable forum.
Pants – I’m doing what I can. I really wish I was doing a better job, but this parenting gig is a lot of work. Some nights I’m so tired I can’t fathom doing stuff on the computer, hence less blogging too.
Big Bro – yes, this is your niece. This is your niece on Cheerios. Any questions?
What a sweetie! I can’t believe how big she has gotten.
looooooooooooooooooooooooooooove <3<3<3
It's also impressive that she understood what "take it from the top" meant!!!?
Awwwww! She is quite possibly the cutest little girl ever! This made me smile and laugh out loud because of its cuteness.
I love Baby Singe and all, but are you ever going to post again? It’s been, like, forever since the last one.
Well! I don’t know about General Mills, but I’ve got a certain 21-month old son who just sat riveted at the computer watching a cute little girl sing and dance. It worked for him!
(PS Late HB to the Mrs.!)
What’s the worst they can say? No.
Go do be. She’s a natural.
Happy Birthday Mrs. Lessinges!!!!!
Lynda – I see her everyday and marvel at her personal and physical growth. She’s a giant amongst toddlers.
Mez – she’s got skills. I have no clue where she learned her skills, but she’s quite adept.
Jen – I’m glad this got a laugh out of you. It sure made us smile with glee. It’s one of those moments as a parent where you think “where did this kid come from?” and leave it at that.
SM – yes, I have a new post. You should also ridicule me about my slow blog response comments.
Sari – is your son single? She has a boy in her class she likes, but I think it’s important to have a backup plan as a parent. Thanks for the bday wishes. I will pass them along.
Maggie – true that. I suppose I could forward them the link and see what happens. “Go do be”? Do you have a fear of subjects or do you really love action verbs?
